Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to Tiffany Hix Photography! I'm so glad you decided to stop by because I LOVE what I do and I would love to share it with you. Here you will find sneak peeks of recent sessions, images of my adorable children (when they let me photograph them) and random things that I find interesting ... and I am quite random at times! So, sit back and enjoy ... and be sure to leave comments because every one loves comments!!
I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night after waiting in line and in the theater for 4 hours ... yep, 4 hours (it's ok, you can call me crazy, lol). It was a very entertaining movie that made me giggle, laugh and scream (when Edward came on the screen the first time). I'm not filing it away in my "love every second of it" movie list yet though. Why ... well, because the book is just so fabulously written with great details that you can visualize so well while reading.

You become so engrossed in the book by the love story that is Edward and Bella and the little things that happen as they fall in love. Of course, you can't make a movie long enough to truly tell the story the way the book does. There were several parts of the story that happened out of order or in the wrong locations and some parts that should have been in the movie that weren't there. For instance, Edward or Bella never said the word "Dazzle." Some parts that were missing are integral to the stories in the other books too, but I guess they'll just have to take care of those in any other movies. Hollywood of course had to add some extra violence that wasn't in the book and was unnecessary to the movie's story line. I felt that time could have been better spent on the Edward/Bella romance.

Overall, I really did like the movie but you simply can not compare the movie and the book because they are 2 different things. I knew going in that it was going to be changed but I wasn't expecting some of the changes that were made and I think that really threw me off. I am going to the movie again tonight with a big group of girls and I'm thinking that I will enjoy it much more the second time around.

Oh, and Brandy and I sat next to a hilarious group of 14 year old girls from Rocky Mountain High School. They entertained us all evening. Thanks Holly, Kenzie, Hayley, and Lindsey!! I've decided that I am totally a 14 year old girl at heart ... my husband says I'm a 14 year old girl in heart and mind, LOL ... well at least it keeps me young!!!

I hope I didn't spoil anything for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet.
kimbrali - thanks for the review. so funny that you are going again tonight. and i for one hated the word dazzle in the book :) so ill be glad to see that go. it reminded me of something my grandmother would say November 21, 2008
Heather Zakarian - I agree with your veiws on the movie. I went into the movie knowing that the movie and book will be different in some level, but I wasn't prepared on how much they left out compared to the book. Yes, they could have left a particular scene out with the NoMads and concentrated on the love story a little more. Like you, the second time will be more enjoyable since the build up/hype of the movie has been removed. November 21, 2008
Bev Robison - Oh, thank you for seeing it again! It's like I'm living vicariously through you. You've got me all excited to see it now! (Not that I really needed another reason to get excited to see it, really :) November 22, 2008

I had sooooo much fun with these 3 girls! This shoot was a totally different style for me. I did a natural light studio style session with them because they wanted simple black and lots of close ups. I love the light in my office and have done a couple of newborn sessions in here but never a family and I have to say it was fun! Thanks girls for a fun afternoon!

Enjoy!

How cute is this little family?! We did have to be out in the cold but the location was so beautiful that we all managed. We just had to warm the little man up in the car and give him snack so he was ready to go again. Oh, and check out Mr. "C"'s eyelashes .... gorgeous! After much nagging from my best friend, Brandy, to read the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer, I decided to take some time to relax last week. I was instantly sucked into the story and could not put the books down. I read all 4 books in 4 days and they were FABULOUS! I loved every word of each book. If you haven't read them yet you really really should! AMAZING!

So, since Brandy was the one who got me hooked on the story her and I are going to the midnight premiere of the movie Twilight on 11/21 and then going again to the evening show with a big group of girls!!! The soundtrack for the movie came out on Tuesday and it is also fabulous and fits the movie so well. I have a new favorite song from the soundtrack and just so I can watch the video endlessly (since I can't download it from iTunes) I am embedding it into my blog. Don't you just love technology?! Enjoy! And if you haven't read the books yet .... read them!! And here is Decode by Paramore from the Twilight Original Music Picture Soundtrack.

ps, sorry about the 30 second commercial at the beginning of the video

Ok, now just for fun here's the movie trailer .... OMG, I can't wait!

kimbrali - me and you both!!!! i am contemplating on whether orvnot i want to go to the movie right away. i dont want to share the experience with 300 screaming teenage girls. i might wait until the craziness dies sown a bit. or not. November 12, 2008

I love photographing these two little girls. This is their "graduation" session from my baby plan and I know I'm going to miss seeing them every 6 months (hint, hint ;) ) This session was awesome! We got to do something a little more vintage/grungy and I love the way it looks. The girls were little dolls as always and they both have such different personalities. I had so much fun with you "M" Family, thank you again!!

You may recognize this adorable little family ... I shot their wedding in January! I just love it when clients return for more portraits!! This time we got to focus on the family and the kids and it was so fun. I think little man "D" really enjoyed himself as he ran around and climbed all over. He's got such a fun smile! And Miss "K" is so sweet and beautiful. I had a wonderful time with you all again, thank you!
