Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to Tiffany Hix Photography! I'm so glad you decided to stop by because I LOVE what I do and I would love to share it with you. Here you will find sneak peeks of recent sessions, images of my adorable children (when they let me photograph them) and random things that I find interesting ... and I am quite random at times! So, sit back and enjoy ... and be sure to leave comments because every one loves comments!!

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography - $1500 worth, to be exact. Whether it's canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over...it's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $500 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar vacation home does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
The nominee must reside in Idaho. Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
Comment on this blog entry to let me know you've entered, and e-mail me the full story: info@tiffanyhixphotography.com.
The gift recipient will be notified and announced on Monday, 12/29/08 ...get nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season - and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
If you are not in Idaho but would like to nominate someone there are other photographers participating in this event. A list of photographers follows and will be updated as more join in!

Thank you to all of my wonderful clients of 2008!
I got to hold your babies, play with your children, make you do silly things and laugh as loud as possible ... I even got to cry at your weddings.
It was truly a pleasure getting to know all of you ...
I am glad to have been a part of creating your family's memories!!
This slideshow includes images from every session that I photographed in 2008. Some of them will be familiar from sneak peeks posted throughout the year but others are images only my clients saw. I hope you all enjoy the slideshow!

Here is a quick sneak peek of Miss "A" ... she wasn't quite up for being photographed on Saturday but I did manage to get these cute images and I'll get even more when we try again. Isn't she adorable?! You can hardly tell she didn't want to be photographed so I know when I photograph her again on a happy day she will be even cuter!! I love the Christmasy look these have and those red and white striped Baby Legs are so fun!
Enjoy!

Yay! I got to photograph this lovely family for the second time this year ... and mom is my hair stylist! I love it when I get to see the kids grow up through my lens. And, we had a really fun session Downtown that ended up in a coffee shop with a big mug of hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream and cookies. The kids loved it and they did so good even though it was pretty chilly outside.
Ready for the fun?!
Don't forget that Michelle does amazing work with hair so if you need a new stylist look her up at Bliss!
Enjoy!

Before Thanksgiving I got to spend some time photographing these 2 little cuties! Miss "B" was all about being in front of the camera and hamming it up for me ... but Mr "G" wasn't too sure about the crazy lady with the big camera the whole time. I love the image of the 2 of them sitting on the bridge ... their facial expressions crack me up! Thanks for braving the cold with me!
Oh, and we can't forget to leave out that very fitting last image ... "the end"
Enjoy!

My review of Twilight yesterday was a little tough but that's just because I was expecting it to follow the book a little better. I went to see Twilight again last night with a bigger group of girls and we didn't have to wait for 4 hours to see the movie.
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew not to compare the movie and the book last night so I watched it just as a movie only and it freakin' rocked! I love Edward and Bella and I even like Jacob. Well, I liked the Jacob in the books too but he's no Edward!
GO TEAM EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you haven't read the books and want to see the movie then just see the movie first and then read the books!
